Thor takes Midgardian Culture Lessons from Peter Parker

Thor: BROTHER, I have once again learnt some Midgardian slang: to YEET is to throw.

Loki:

Thor: So when we do ‘get help’ I YEET you at our enemy.

Loki:

Thor: [smiling proudly] YEET

Loki: Thor I think the Spider Boy is trying to make a fool out of you.

Thor: That may be so…but I don’t look as much of a fool as you do when I YEET you across the room.

Don’t imagine Thor and Loki spending Infinity War thinking the other is dead.

Don’t imagine Thor talking angrily about getting revenge in front of the Guardians, then hiding out alone to cry.

Don’t imagine Loki forcing himself to join Thanos because, without Thor, this is his best shot at survival.

Don’t imagine Loki spending every scene with his brother’s murderers fighting not to flinch and cry.

Don’t imagine neither one really giving up hope that their brother will reappear at any moment.

Don’t imagine the moment they see each other again on the battlefield.

Don’t imagine the way their eyes go wide as they freeze.

Don’t imagine Thor being horrified at where his brother ended up. Not because he thinks Loki’s gone evil again (all right, maybe he has that doubt for a moment or two upon first glance), but because Loki is hurt and obviously scared.

Don’t imagine Loki starting to run to Thor, only to be stopped by Thanos and the Black Order, injured in the process.

Don’t imagine the others having to hold Thor back because maybe this can be settled without further bloodshed, they don’t want to start another war in the middle of New York.

Don’t imagine Thor fighting tooth and nail to rescue his little brother once the battle actually starts.

Don’t imagine Loki using every trick he can to protect Thor from afar.

Don’t imagine the hug, tight and painful for both of them but they don’t care, when they finally reach each other.

Don’t imagine their tears.

Don’t imagine them checking each other for injuries, desperately making sure that the other is there and real and alive.

Don’t imagine Loki’s terror ebbing away because now that Thor’s with him, he knows he’s safe.

Don’t imagine Thor’s sheer relief that he has his brother back.

Do imagine them getting back up and fighting side-by-side with Valkyrie and Iron Man and Star-Lord and all the others.

Do imagine the Odinsons finally together, just as they always should be.
