Last batch of previews. I don’t do inktober cuz my real inking takes too long, and my pen drawings are all rough, not very pretty, gestural sketches that I use as the basis for these finished illos. So, instead, I drew a bunch of reapers. Not 30, unfortunately, but a lot more than I thought I’d finish.
Here’s a detail: Gabriel Reyes’ jersey from the “Goal Blossom” is a reference to the 2014 US Soccer jersey.
Gabriel is truly a Mexican-American :’)
Reaper: The McCree I know isn’t fit to be responsible for anyone, including and especially himself. I once saw him drink an entire jar of marinara sauce for dinner.
Reaper: Sombra, he opened up a new jar of marinara sauce and drank it like it was a thing normal people do. It was unholy. Reaper: And then I asked him what the hell he was doing, and he said, and I quote, “It’s basically a smoothie.”
Sombra: I mean, technically… He’s not wrong?
Also, in case you can’t read the text from displays on first panel they say this :
Phone panel : “Not sure I expected to ever see you again after all that happened, Reyes.. But to meet you as a shadow casted by even a darker matter is something I wish I never saw.”
“I never believed in ghosts either, but it seems like my beliefs were wrong. You know I always enjoyed the dark.. Jack.”
Sombra panel : “Sorry for my attitude earlier, Gabe. I really want to talk to you.. And I got churros >3″
“Fine. Come over. Just don’t make me get up for the door.”
When you’re under investigation and unable to act officially but you don’t give a f.. about UN’s orders. Idk, I just wanted to draw theses two together.
