My thoughts on Coco

I had only seen one trailer for coco months before I went to see it in theatres today. And by that trailer, it looked like it portrayed a message we’ve seen in countless other movies before: don’t listen to what your family wants you to do, follow your heart and what you want to do in life instead. But the movie doesn’t give us that message. Instead it gave us this: “we should do what we love, yes, but family should always be placed first.”

Coco is a beautiful movie, and I highly recommend seeing it if you haven’t already!!

I saw Coco a couple of nights ago and, man was I wrong about it
I went in knowing nothing but the rumors and assumptions about it and
It blew me away

It was such a heartfelt story with such believable and lovable characters. I haven’t cried so hard during a movie since Rogue One tbh.

Please! Please!!!! Go see this movie and support it. We need more movies that portray Mexican culture in such a beautiful light.
