Also, after everything is said and done, I’ll be leaving the fandom. My personal information has been shared such as my Instagram, which is strictly for family and friends only. People have taken to the Overwatch forums hoping to get those behind the game involved. Articles on websites are being written about this.

After having been extremely suicidal these past few weeks, this is the tipping point. I’m not mentioning my depression or suicidal thoughts to get sympathy, because I know people will only laugh or mock or claim I’m doing this purely for said sympathy. I’m not looking for that. I’m just saying that this is all just too much for me. I’ve effectively been run out of the fandom and another one I really loved, so I just need a break from the internet. For my mental health and my own safety, I need to back away. I’ve come extremely close to ending it all multiple times and this has finally broken me.

I ask that people leave me alone once all the zine business is taken care of. I ask that you please stop spreading personal information. Everything will be taken care of in regards to the zine, as I’ve stated multiple times, but I’m throwing in the towel once I’m done. Maybe this is for the best, for everyone.

I will most likely only come on to make updates on how the zine shipping/refunding is coming along. Once that is done, I will go.

I just want to address 1 thing that’s bugging the shit out of me from this post.

You’re not being “run out of the fandom”, Lynn, you’re being held accountable for your actions. And since you don’t want to actually own up to all the actual wrong you’ve done, some of it downright criminal, you’re flipping the very real and warranted upset with you into a personal attack.  

People being upset, feeling betrayed, abused, and used by you and demanding accountability for your gross mismanagement and outright stealing money meant for charity to fund personal items, trips, movie outings, and cons/con swag is not harassment.  

You chose to lie to, manipulate, and steal from this fandom. You redirected funds meant for charity to your own personal account and used those funds to purchase items from content creators in another fandom. You canceled pre-order items and failed to address the issue until after the fact and then refused to offer partial refunds or some other compensation for items people paid for. Instead you vagued about the company being ‘shady’ and ‘difficult’, then did nothing to work around the issue. You also made a lot of statements about how you’d use your own money to compensate where donations/order money fell short but have yet to provide except, Lynn, you were taking hunks of money out of the Zine’s PayPal account to fund yourself so we now know those claims of altruism were a lie.  

You have been asked repeatedly and for months on end to provided documentation, receipts, and any other kind of confirmable proof – any proof at all – that you haven’t been severely, and criminally, mismanaging the funds poured into this project and yet you’ve done little else but make sporadic posts about how awful things are for you while simultaneously deleting posts, trying to delete discord servers, removing people from positions where they could oppose you as equals, and now started to delete and/or lock your social media accounts so there is no way people could reach out to you except on Tumblr where you’ve already been ghosting so you don’t actually have to answer anyone. And that’s on top of ignoring messages, DMs, and emails from people trying to get answers and resolve issues.

You have been given every opportunity to work with people to resolve every single issue that’s been brought up. You’ve been given every opportunity, to provide the PayPal receipts to reassure a very upset and appalled community that those multiple “mistakes” you made were actually mistakes and you’ve made efforts to rectify them by returning the money you took from the Zine account. You have been given every opportunity to make up for the mismanagement of every aspect of the zine and you – YOU – have chosen to ignore, lie, and make everything about you and your hardships.

If there is someone out there actually harassing you I’ll be the first one to stand up and tell them to grow the fuck up and redirect their very valid anger at you into something constructive because harassment does nothing to help anything. But you cannot sit there and equate people’s anger, feelings of betrayal, and calls for you to be held accountable for your actions to harassment or to, laughably, use that to say you’re “being run out of the fandom”.

You fucked up. You have been asked to apologize and offer restitution for your actions. You have actively chosen not to. You have actively chosen to ignore the issue, the people trying to help you, and the people trying to get answers/refunds/help.

That is not running you out of the fandom. That is you wanting to absolve yourself of the consequences of your actions and run away from the problem you created.

By all means, take care of yourself and stay safe, but Lynn? You still have to fix the goddamn problem you created and answer to the people involved with the Zine.
