did another outfit design for lea in kh3 *______*! I think that the new outfits of sora and co are inspired by FFXV chocobros. So if they decide to change up Axel’s look for the upcoming game, I think he’ll be inspired by either Ignis or Gladio, though I personally think Gladio’s aesthetic suits him better.

I was thinking of how much colour to give him, but like the other design that i did back in 2015, i ended up falling back on darker colours. i think it just suits him better than that cacophany of bright warm colours in birth by sleep.

I think a longer coat fits him better than a shorter jacket, mostly because his silhouette throughout the series includes more of an A-line bottom

And don’t y’all come at me for trimming his hair; i love his long luscious locks BUT i think him getting a haircut would be symbolic of him moving on from his time as a Nobody 😉

@imaginative-ink‘s headcanon about Saix’s motives made me think of a very angsty idea, and while I hardly ever draw angst, this one had to be kicked out of my system as quickly as possible. So there. Share my hurt.

So in this AU, Saix tries to save Axel from being norted- but fails. He’s still fully aware of the plan in motion, but is quite helpless as he sees his best friend slipping further and further away with each day that passes. He ends up being the babysitter/dadfriend/caretaker in the seasalt trio instead of Axel, when the time comes.

Saix is devastated and full of guilt, but also more open about the past- he knows the consequences of keeping everything to himself, but also cautious to not risk his value as an Organization member. He swears to never lose anyone again, and takes it upon himself to protect the children, knowing fully well that his best friend would do the same if he was in his right mind.
