Fun with sketching with green ink at one of the best cafes in town. Forgot all my pencils at home which made me sad but luckily they could lend one.
Had the last part in mind for a while. I can totally see Héctor absolutely losing his freakin’ mind over Miguel starting to grow into romance (after having gotten of his disgust with kisses on TV lol) since he’s such a romantic himself
Were all the songs in Ernesto’s movies also stolen from Héctor? I mean, Miguel thinks that he wrote all his own songs (pretty sure he stated that at one point but please correct me if I’m wrong), so it sounds like they were?
If that is true, I would like to offer the idea that both the song snippets in “Much Needed Advice” are about/inspired by his feelings for Imelda.
A feeling so close/you could reach out and touch it/I never knew I could/want something so much/but it’s true…
Please imagine an absolutely hopelessly lovesick Héctor singing about Imelda, being frustrated that he can’t figure her out, consoling himself with this song.
Only a song/only a song/has the power to change a heart
And I dunno maybe one of Héctor’s songs finally got through to her (the previous one? Un poco loco?) And she softened towards him, and he’s marvelling at how much a little song has managed to open her up and oh my God, he thought he was in love before but he is so in love now he can barely stand himself.
Anyone got any suggestions for what his urban legend name would be? I was thinking something like “The Weeping Musician”. Idk man I’m not good at coming up with this stuff I just like drawing it lmao.
Anyways I’m gonna draw more of this soon, but exams might slow me down a bit 😥
Some doodles of what I imagine what Miguel would look like when he’s older.
Second picture was from another scrapped sketch page. I thought it’d be funny if Miguel had a designated drinking buddy during the holidays. ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)
Here you go guys! This is a cover for my new fic on AO3, entitled “Guitarra de Calaveras”. It tells the story of Coco as the guitar may have seen it, and you can find it here:
