The super cool guitar was a gift that Imelda made to Hector, maybe when he reached his 21 birthday (As far as I remember, the majority of age on Mexico was at 21 until a few years ago when they made it at 18) or on their wedding.
I just saw some Hector/Ernesto fan art and I’m???? How dare you????
I mean I would KIND OF understand if they didn’t know the whole story before drawing it but… knowing that Hector loved his family so much that he abandoned his dream and that Ernesto fucking murdered him in cold blood because of that?? Bro wtf is wrong with you
Hectór talking about how “Remember Me” is the most popular is so much sadder once you realize he wrote it as an extremely personal song for his daughter and Ernesto turned into a cheesy love ballad.
My thoughts on Coco
I had only seen one trailer for coco months before I went to see it in theatres today. And by that trailer, it looked like it portrayed a message we’ve seen in countless other movies before: don’t listen to what your family wants you to do, follow your heart and what you want to do in life instead. But the movie doesn’t give us that message. Instead it gave us this: “we should do what we love, yes, but family should always be placed first.”
Coco is a beautiful movie, and I highly recommend seeing it if you haven’t already!!
