Ok, it’s pretty obvious that Hector is infamous in the Dept. of Family Reunions by now. I believe the employees there placed bets on how long long he can keep this show going, and I think they’re genuinely happy for him now XD Well, judging by that girl who scanned him in the end of the movie. She looked pretty happy for him 🙂
They stay in the guest room, which is small but very comfortably furnished, with a rose bush right outside the window, and right after they settle in Imelda gives them a tour of the workshop, and Hector leads the tour around town. Imelda and Hector are admittedly a bit nervous about showing their humble home and little town to royalty, but they’re very proud of where they come from and what they’ve built together, and besides–Tiana and Naveen have become very close friends and whatever nervousness they felt immediately dissipates at the beginning of the tour, especially when Tiana comments on the town’s beauty and warmth.
Of course, they fall in love with the plaza.
Hector plays his guitar with a group of mariachis, Imelda singing, and they start the night out with a cumbia that has Naveen basically leaping out of his seat and pulling Tiana with him to dance.
Of course Naveen can’t help but want to be a part of the band, so while he’s up there with his guitar, Tiana ends up in a mini dance lesson with Coco, who’s showing her her favorite dance moves with the adorable dress that Eudora made for her which she’s been wearing for the past few days because she loves it n_n
Because I have lost a lot of inspiration for writing right now, I’d like to procrastinate by sharing a few minor lil’ things I noticed in Coco that I hadn’t noticed before, after rewatching it (don’t ask how many times I’ve seen it, just believe that it is a… normal amount of times)
If anyone has made a post about these, please point me in that direction, I love seeing little details from this movie!!
Young Coco’s pillow is the same pillow on Older Coco’s bed
I’m not entirely certain, but I think that’s a painting of the Virgen de Guadalupe above Young Coco’s bed, and the same painting is above Older Coco’s bed as well. If I’m wrong, please correct me!!
It’s also safe to say that the room from the memory is the same room that Older Coco uses.
ALSO A REPLICA OF THE GUITAR HAS BEEN PLACED NEXT TO IMELDA’S BOOT ON THE OFRENDA AT THE TOP ALKD;FJASDFH I’m probably the only person in the universe that never noticed this until now but now that I have noticed it it makes me very happy
There are drawings on the wall behind Coco’s bed!! I’m not too certain about the first two, but the last one looks like it could possibly be an adult wearing a sombrero, standing next to a kid?? A drawing Coco did of herself with her
Papá?? It is my headcanon now, yes, thank you.
I wrote a lil’ snippet of a thing to go with it because how could I not.
Edit: Fixed a historical inaccuracy, kinda of a huge one XD. Thank you to @galaxymadisonn for pointing it out!
