Moana and Maui old married couple head cannon

So in my mind Maui would give up immortality if he and Moana became a couple. I mean he was born mortal and he may be alright with being so again given the right circumstances.

So on to married life. Moana would obviously be chief of Motunui NOT Maui. He would be her consort. There is an adorable little story floating around Ao3 about that btw. Anyways the years go by and together he and Moana build a great life together. Discovering new islands and establishing a family.

Early on I can see Maui having a hard time adjusting to mortal life. Having to eat and sleep constantly and not being able to find a happy medium at first. He either eats too much or just plain forgets to eat. Not too mention he’ll go days with out sleep then fall flat out exhausted from lack of sleep. Also he’s like a giant child at first not understanding what chores are and giving up his free time to help the village by helping out. I feel like he and Moana had a lot of fights about this.

Over time though Maui gets his groove and becomes the resident crazy story teller, kind of like grandma Tala once was. Also best baby sitter ever. Not too mention, besides Moana, he is the best Wayfinder the village has and he spends lots of time teaching them all how to sail under Moana’s guidance. I always see Maui with a butt load of kids following him around on his back, hanging off his arms, and in his hair. Maui becomes a part of Motunui and with Moana by his side has the family he secretly always wanted.

Now that Maui has settled down doesn’t mean the retired trickster stops all his antics. I see him playing romantic pranks on Moana all the time. Stealing her skirts so she has to walk around their little hut naked, leaving random bouquets of flowers tied to her oar to find later, sewing her brand new sails with beautiful designs on it every time she goes on a new voyage.

Moana has her hands full but never does she love Maui any less. In fact only more.

Why I Ship Zemyx

Because I asked myself the question “Why do I ship Zemyx so resolutely?” awhile ago and I thought the answers might make an interesting post.

I ship Zemyx (Zexion x Demyx) because I see them as two halves of a whole. Now, normally, I’d consider this response a cop out. Two halves of a whole? How cliche. But really, I see Zexion as quietude and Demyx as noise. Neither of which can exist without the other.

Zexion is quiet.
Demyx is loud.

Zexion is logic.
Demyx is fun.

Zexion is booksmarts.
Demyx is creativity.

Zexion is self-control.
Demyx is impulsiveness.

Zexion is patience.
Demyx is impatience.

Zexion does his job.
Demyx procrastinates (or shoves work on Roxas).

Two halves of one whole, they literally complete each other just by being so different from each other.

And then there’s the other hand where I find myself relating, almost equally, to both Zexion and Demyx in turn, which is like… I can almost see them as being two halves of the whole that is me. Though that’s not really a reason to ship.

On another-another hand. I find myself more like Zexion than Demyx, and I’d love to be around someone like Demyx. Someone to smile even when I can’t. And if I was more like Dem, I’d want to make someone like Zexy smile, get them out of their shell, hear their laugh.

All in all, this pairing makes me extremely happy because… I can see a lot of facets to it.

Let’s say that Demyx isn’t always happy behind his smile. I can’t imagine that he is with how the others in the Organization seem to see him. But anyway, let’s say he’s smiling… but sad.

I think that Zexion would be able to see that, be it because he’s good with details or maybe because he cares enough to look for it. Or he knows sad eyes when he sees them. And if he sees sadness in the happiest (seeming) Nobody, maybe he will want to drive it away?

Zexion wouldn’t be very good at cheering up, but Demyx would be surprised that anyone noticed/cares at all.

And then, out of anyone in the Organization, I think Demyx would be the one most able to coax a smile from my favourite bookworm.

Zexion would probably find it annoying, getting the Nocturne’s attention, but he’d eventually find Demyx’s insistance endearing.

I’m off on a tangent, but I dunno, I think I might have done an okay job explaining why I like this ship so much?

On the other hand, I think Zexion/Vanitas, Zexion/Riku, Zexion/Roxas, Zexion/Namine, and Zexion/Xion all cute ships. But, for me, none of them work as well as Zemyx.

And Axel/Demyx, Xigbar/Demyx, and Demyx/Namine are all cute ships as well. But I can’t ship them because they all seem to be missing… something. Something I seem to be able to find in Zemyx.

Well, that’s all. I should go to sleep.

Nathan Prescott Headcanons

I imagine Nathan is much more different around people he trusts like Victoria. So I’m just imagining what he’d be like if he was really close to Max.

Imagine Nathan just going into Max’s room and just chilling on her bed on his phone, getting some peace and quiet that he can’t find anywhere else. Max doesn’t care so long as he doesn’t touch anything, and when she walks into her dorm after class she barely notices him.

Max talking to Nathan about positive things, rather than bitching or gossiping. Them sharing their photography and thinking each other’s style is weird, but nice.

Nathan climbing up onto a car or building and making sure Max gets the perfect shot of him.

Nathan texting her in the middle of the night, venting about his dad. Sometimes he calls her he because he knows that she won’t ignore him.

Nathan knowing that Max is timid and always apologizes after his outbursts. Max understands always, and she offers to find something fun to do like eat ice cream to distract and calm him down.

Max using her rewind powers to keep Nathan out of trouble, and knowing to go to him before he does something stupid.

Nathan always helping Max out. Helping her study and making sure she stands up for herself because he can’t always be there for her.

Victoria and Max becoming friends through Nathan, and Max having a positive influence on both of them.
