Why does everyone say “eat the child” on these posts

@ihatebananasdealwithit it’s an inside joke that started on one of these ads that was like “if had to choose between feeding a child or saving your food for yourself, which would you choose” and since these ads tend to be kind of stupid somebody decided the best option was to “eat the child”… it just caught on from there lol
