Ghost!Hector reference sheet

I had trouble finding full body screenshots of Hector wearing his mariachi suit, so I googled some images of mariachi suits but they were mostly Halloween costumes :’). Luckily I think this turned out alright

Some Ghost!Hector things:

  • Basically as the legend goes, he was murdered on the way to the train station. So he can usually be seen around the train platform trying to board the train, or sometimes on the streets on the way to the train station.
  • He’s always got dark tears pouring down his face (rumored to be poison), and he’s always got blood spilling out of his mouth. He only changes his appearance when children are around so as not to scare them. Hector can’t do this all the time because it takes a tremendous amount of energy to hide his true appearance.
  • His eyes change. You know he’s either angry or having a flashback when his eyes are shining like flashlights. Most of the time they’re just smoky gray.
  • As for personality, he’s forgotten most of his dorky demeanor and is instead very disoriented and desperate. When Miguel first meets him he’s extremely irritable and defensive. Hector is all too used to being ogled at by curious teenagers and paranormal investigators. He doesn’t understand what these people want and why they’re bothering him.
  • Slowly, as his past gets uncovered, more and more of his personality and memories come back.
  • Hector still loves kids. He often helps lost kids find their parents in the station. The only time his old personality comes back anymore is when he’s trying to cheer them up.
  • If you’re ever in or around the train station late at night, you might be able to hear the sound of soft singing. Finding the source is the hard part, as the voice seems to come from all directions.
  • There have been instances of abusive parents or spouses being knocked in front of the trains by an invisible force. Tragic.
  • Miguel sometimes accidentally sends him into his “moments” by asking certain questions or mentioning his idol.
  • Hector is very confused. Ghosts mostly get by on feelings left by their lives. He doesn’t know what year it is, he doesn’t know why he’s stuck there. Most of the time, he doesn’t even know he’s dead. What Hector does know is that a) he’s got to get home and b) he HATES the name Ernesto de la Cruz and any mention of him.
  • Hector doesn’t actually know how he can pick out certain people (abusers). He just knows he hates them.

Aight that’s all I got for now! Miguel’s reference and FAQ’s are next.
