Coco Headcanon 1: the day Imelda fully forgives Hectór is the day Coco dies, because even as she had been rediscovering their old love and accepting him into the family, there was always a solid part of her that would never forget hearing Coco singing Recuérdame every night or how it felt when her heart just BROKE finding out that Coco had kept Hectór’s letters for so long (she didn’t have the heart to get rid of them at that point). friendo you have just about saved my life right here on this day cus thESE ARE SO BEAUTIFUL TYSM??? my word i have so many feelings about coco & hector’s reunion and imelda feeling conflicted about the whole thing because as hurt as she was by hector’s disappearance she must’ve known coco was equally hurt and maybe she didn’t realize that she was hurting coco even more by trying to make her forget him or maybe she thought she was doing the right thing, like “you’ll be better off without his influence and without the reminder of this heartbreak”, feeling like it’s so unfair that coco is still holding on so strongly to this man that for all imelda knows doesn’t care about either of them at all anymore

but then that moment, when she sees coco and her father reunited and sees so dang clearly how heckin much he adores her, sees so painfully obviously that she’s been the light of his existence this whole time and he has Never stopped loving her and she never stopped loving him and. there is no possible way imelda can hold anymore resentment. it’s so blatantly certain now that he never meant to hurt them and never would and never will again. gosh they all love each other so much

and!!! i am so so here for ace miguel because between his dreams of being a big musical star and his big-family values im sure there’ll be a lot of emphasis in his life on Falling In Love and having lots of kids and being super romantic and all that jazz and i can totally imagine just being like “hm. cant relate.” and of course thatll come with at least a bit of its share of tension but we all know his family loves him so much and there’ll be much more “GOOD NOW YOU WON’T GET INTO ANY OF THAT KIND OF TROUBLE”
